Persistence...

We're blinded by darkness,
lost on our own.
We struggle forward
to get through it alone.

We fall over and over
to so many temptations.
Wont to act out
without meditations.

We shame and betray,
steal and deceive,
kill and destroy,
simply wont' believe.

Yet you care for us,
love us,
protect us,
died for us.

Who but man can boast in You;
we search for light
in the midst of darkness
to find what is right.

We try and try;
many times we fail.
We simply attempt
to no avail.

Yet Your love does not waver.
Your light does not grow dim.
We remain in Your favor.
We are always loved by You.

Simply because
You see that we try.
As imperfect we may be
our spirit will never die.

We will fight,
We will seek,
We will love.
All because of You.

As I commit a mere 30 minutes to You...
I think that I can do it.
I'm pretty confident I can.
"30 minutes, how hard can that be."

As I try to set aside 30 minutes to You...
Time seems to fly by.
I can't find a minute to rest.
"Why am I always so busy."

As I try to find 30 minutes for You...
I can't find 30 minutes.
I haven't had time for myself.
"I'll make it up tomorrow."

As I realize I can't spend 30 minutes with You...
I feel unworthy.
I fail another commitment.
"I can't do anything right."

But in less than a second...
You lift me up.
You set my feet.
You keep loving.

You're love is immediate.
